An IMDG portable tank (UN portable tank) is designed, built and tested to Chapter 6.7 of the IMO International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code and mounted in an ISO frame for intermodal transfer between ship, truck and rail. HUNG JUNG has built 125 L, 450 L, 1,850 L, 1 m³ and 7.5 m³ stainless transport containers.

FAQ
How often must a UN portable tank be inspected?
Under IMDG Code 6.7.2.19, the shell is inspected and tested before first use, then periodically at intervals of no more than five years, with an intermediate inspection midway (about 2.5 years). A tank whose inspection has expired may not be filled and offered for transport, subject to limited exceptions.
Which IMDG Code edition applies now?
The 2024 Edition (Amendment 42-24) is mandatory from 1 January 2026; voluntary application was permitted from 2025.
