A polished stainless tank is a stainless steel storage or vacuum vessel whose surfaces are mechanically polished. Smoother surfaces hold less residue and clean more thoroughly, so these tanks are used where cleanliness and contamination control matter. HUNG JUNG has built a 10 m³ polished stainless vacuum tank.

FAQ
What should I specify for a polished tank?
Volume, design pressure or vacuum, design temperature, medium, material (304L or 316L), internal surface finish, and whether you need a jacket, agitator or CIP connections.
304L or 316L?
316L contains molybdenum and resists chloride pitting better than 304L, so it is common for chemical solutions, salts and cleaning agents. 304L may suit pure water or food service. The final choice depends on the actual medium and temperature.
